Usually, the economic development and maintenance of corporate information systems requires standards to be taken account of. At the same time, the evaluation and the proper use of complex standards is a challenging task. Our focus is mainly on standards for e-commerce, modelling languages - the UML in particular - and languages for the specification of workflow schemata.
