Goal modelling
An idealized conception of an enterprise assumes clear goals, objectivity and rational action. However, enterprises often lack this transparency and coherence. Moreover, the lack of an explicit and sound goal system in contemporary enterprises seems to be even more characteristic than its existence. The research theme 'goal modelling' deals with constructing and applying goal models to enrich other models of the enterprise leading to an increase in the overall transparency. In general, by means of goal modelling research answers are sought for the question whether enterprises with explicit goal systems are more efficient and effective than those without.
